Let’s Stop Young Cancer Patients #RunningOnEmpty

Through #RunningOnEmpty, Young Lives v Cancer are calling for better financial support for the travel costs that children and young people with cancer and their families face to get to their treatment. To help achieve this, they have launched a petition for a Young Cancer Patient Travel Fund to cover these costs for all young cancer patients.

But why? Well, because treatment is usually provided at specialist centres, which are often far from home, many travel long distances several times a week, which can last for years. As well as it being physically and emotionally draining, coping with all that cancer throws at you, also comes at a huge financial cost. This is leaving them #RunningOnEmpty.
